Arvia Smartboard Empowers Kampung Angkat MADANI Digital Hub in Merlimau

Client : Jabatan Mineral & Geosains | Project Date : 16-Jun-2025

In support of the government’s rural digital transformation agenda, Arvia Solutions is proud to participate in the Program Kampung Angkat MADANI, an initiative led by Jabatan Mineral & Geosains for the Negeri Sembilan and Melaka regions. The company was entrusted with delivering an end-to-end smart collaboration solution to the designated site in Merlimau, Melaka. The setup includes a high-performance Arvia Smartboard ARV400 (75”), a built-in OPS PC, a mobile stand, and an ARV4800 AI camera—tailored to support community-based learning, digital communication, and virtual connectivity. This deployment reflects Arvia’s mission to bridge the digital gap in rural areas and empower local communities with future-ready tools.

Smartboard System Tailored for Community Development

To meet the unique needs of the rural learning center, Arvia Solutions supplied a smartboard bundle that integrates hardware and software into a cohesive digital experience. At the heart of the system is the Arvia Smartboard ARV400, a 75-inch interactive panel that supports 4K touch display, annotation, presentation tools, and wireless connectivity. The integrated OPS PC (i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) enables the smartboard to run productivity software, conferencing platforms, and cloud-based applications. A mobile stand (ARV-S57) adds flexibility to the unit, allowing it to be relocated easily within the facility. Meanwhile, the ARV4800 AI camera introduces intelligent video tracking and audio capture—ideal for hybrid sessions, online classes, or virtual government briefings.

On-Site Installation with Full System Configuration

Arvia’s technical team handled the full installation at the Merlimau site. The process began with unboxing, assembling, and securely mounting the smartboard onto the ARV-S57 stand, followed by integration of the OPS PC into the system. Every port—USB, LAN, HDMI—was tested to ensure smooth data flow and connectivity. The AI camera was strategically positioned and calibrated to provide auto-framing and speaker-tracking capabilities. Wireless configuration and firmware updates were completed before handover. The team ensured the entire Arvia Smartboard setup was fully functional, secure, and optimized for both in-person and virtual use.

Comprehensive Training for Local Officers and Community Leaders

Once the installation was completed, Arvia Solutions delivered hands-on training to key stakeholders—including officers from Jabatan Mineral & Geosains and selected community representatives. The session introduced users to the smartboard’s touch interface, the Arvia Board software, and real-time annotation features. Attendees learned how to manage files, launch presentations, and interact with on-screen tools for better engagement. The training also covered AirServer wireless mirroring, allowing smartphones and laptops to connect to the board without cables. This makes it easier for users to present or share content instantly during community workshops, remote meetings, or educational sessions.

Empowering Long-Term Use with Arvia Device Management System

Another key component introduced during training was the Arvia Device Management System (DMS), a cloud-based platform designed for remote control and monitoring. Community administrators were taught how to schedule content, push updates, lock settings, and monitor device performance through the DMS interface. For rural centers with limited on-site IT support, this feature is critical to ensure long-term usability. It allows system managers to keep the smartboard in top condition without frequent technical visits, giving them greater autonomy and confidence in managing digital infrastructure.

AI-Powered Conferencing for Seamless Virtual Communication

The included ARV4800 AI camera takes this setup to the next level by enabling high-definition video conferencing with smart automation. Users were guided on how to use the camera during virtual meetings using platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams. The AI camera intelligently adjusts its frame to follow active speakers and maintain focus, creating a natural and professional video experience. This capability supports online training, remote collaboration, and hybrid discussions—making the Arvia Smartboard system a full-fledged communication center for rural outreach programs.

Advancing Digital Inclusion through Public-Private Collaboration

Through this successful deployment under Program Kampung Angkat MADANI, Arvia Solutions demonstrates its dedication to building smart, inclusive communities across Malaysia. This project represents a blueprint for how technology can drive rural development and foster equal access to digital tools. By delivering interactive, AI-powered, and user-friendly technology, the Arvia Smartboard system empowers local residents to stay connected, learn more efficiently, and engage with the broader digital world. As Malaysia continues to pursue its digital economy ambitions, initiatives like this reflect how private sector support can help accelerate national goals at the grassroots level.
