Project Background: Smart Classroom Solution Featuring Samsung 43” TU8000 Smart TV
Empowering TVET Institutions Under MARA with Digital Learning Innovation
The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) landscape in Malaysia has experienced tremendous growth over the past few decades. Driving this transformation is Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), a respected agency committed to uplifting the Bumiputera community through education and entrepreneurship. MARA has established a wide network of educational institutions that serve as national benchmarks for TVET excellence.
Among these institutions are the Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi MARA (KKTM), MARA Japan Industrial Institute (MJII), and the Institut Kemahiran MARA (IKM). These institutions are pillars of MARA’s vision to develop highly skilled, industry-ready graduates who can lead and innovate in various fields. With more than five decades of experience, KKTM, MJII, and IKM have consistently produced talent that meets the dynamic needs of local and international markets.
Central Oversight by Bahagian Kemahiran dan Teknikal (BKT) MARA
The quality and direction of these institutions are guided by the Bahagian Kemahiran dan Teknikal (BKT) MARA). As the central authority overseeing TVET development within MARA, BKT ensures that the institutions adhere to strategic planning, technical excellence, and national education standards. Through continuous curriculum improvements and the adoption of industry-aligned programs, BKT plays a vital role in preparing students for the future of work.
Over the years, thousands of students have graduated from KKTM, MJII, and IKM, and many have gone on to become key industry players and technopreneurs. Their contributions span across engineering, manufacturing, ICT, and entrepreneurship—testament to the institutions’ capability in developing well-rounded human capital. These success stories have enhanced the reputation of MARA TVET institutions, making them highly regarded by employers, industry partners, and the global education community.
Smart Classroom Integration to Advance TVET Learning Environments
Supply and Commissioning of Samsung 43-Inch TU8000 Smart TV
As Malaysia embraces the digital era, there is a growing need for educational institutions to modernize their teaching and learning spaces. MARA has responded proactively by introducing Smart Classroom initiatives to foster more interactive and engaging learning experiences.
This particular project involves the supply and commissioning of five (5) units of Samsung 43-inch TU8000 Smart TVs across selected classrooms within KKTM, MJII, or IKM campuses. The goal is to enhance instructional delivery by incorporating state-of-the-art digital display technology that supports blended learning methods.
The Samsung TU8000 Smart TV is an ideal solution for educational environments. With 4K UHD resolution, Crystal Display technology, and intelligent image upscaling, it delivers crisp, vibrant visuals that capture students’ attention and improve content comprehension. Additionally, its built-in smart features—including Wi-Fi connectivity, access to cloud storage, and compatibility with popular educational apps—allow lecturers to deliver lessons using a wide array of multimedia tools.
Seamless and Comprehensive Smart Classroom Implementation
The implementation process is designed to ensure smooth deployment and user adoption. The scope of this Smart Classroom solution includes:
-
Safe delivery and professional installation of the Samsung Smart TVs
-
Integration with existing classroom infrastructure, such as power outlets, mounts, and AV systems
-
Configuration of software, Wi-Fi networks, and user settings
-
Hands-on training and support for educators and technical teams
By providing end-to-end service, we ensure that the Smart TVs are not only operational but also fully optimized for daily teaching use. This approach empowers educators to explore new, engaging teaching methods, such as collaborative discussions, real-time demonstrations, and visual storytelling.
Supporting National TVET Goals and IR4.0 Readiness
The integration of Smart Classroom technology is closely aligned with Malaysia’s national TVET strategy and the country’s ambitions under the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0). As automation, digitalization, and artificial intelligence reshape industries, educational institutions must equip students with digital competencies and adaptive thinking skills.
Through the Samsung TU8000 Smart TV initiative, MARA is reinforcing its long-term commitment to producing future-ready graduates. This is not just a technological upgrade—it is a visionary step toward building innovative, connected, and immersive educational ecosystems.
