MBIP Adopts Digital Transformation with Smartboard Integration

Client : Majlis Bandaraya Iskandar Puteri by Alqanaah | Project Date : 21-Oct-2024

In an effort to elevate public communication and internal collaboration, Majlis Bandaraya Iskandar Puteri (MBIP) has undertaken a major technology upgrade in partnership with Israk Solutions Sdn Bhd. This initiative includes the delivery and installation of high-end smart technologies tailored for an improved administrative workflow and citizen engagement. Led by Al Qanaah Resources Sdn Bhd, this project is a benchmark in digital transformation for government institutions in Johor.

Core Equipment Delivered

The technology deployment consists of: These devices are strategically installed within MBIP’s premises to streamline operations and encourage digital interactivity during meetings, training, and public events.

ARV100-65 Smartboards: Enhancing Engagement

The ARV100-65 Smartboards are built for immersive visual communication. Featuring a 65-inch HD touch-enabled display, these devices support:
  • Real-time annotation
  • High-definition multimedia presentation
  • Multi-user collaboration
  • Integration with existing digital platforms
Whether for strategic discussions or public announcements, these smartboards provide an intuitive and effective method of delivering impactful presentations. Beyond typical uses, these smartboards serve as collaborative hubs for interdepartmental planning sessions, bridging communication gaps with clarity and interactivity. Their ability to mirror multiple devices simultaneously helps to foster team-oriented discussions, especially during decision-making processes that rely on quick access to real-time data.

FLR103IR Displays: Flexible and Interactive

The two FLR103IR Interactive Displays complement the smartboards by offering infrared touch capabilities. Ideal for shared spaces such as lobbies and meeting areas, these displays:
  • Deliver accurate touch responsiveness
  • Support multimedia display and digital signage
  • Are suitable for kiosks and dynamic information zones
They are versatile enough to fit into any operational space and serve both internal teams and visiting members of the public. The displays also double as public information boards during events, campaigns, and civic engagements, presenting messages clearly and interactively. With intuitive navigation, even non-tech-savvy users can easily access essential content such as local announcements, city maps, or ongoing projects.

CDMS Subscription for Digital Content Management

A key highlight of the implementation is the 2-year subscription to the Content Delivery Management System (CDMS) on both kiosk displays. This platform provides MBIP with centralized control over:
  • Digital content scheduling
  • Real-time updates
  • Emergency alerts and public notices
With CDMS, MBIP can distribute timely and relevant information to their audience without requiring complex manual interventions. The system’s analytics dashboard also allows MBIP to monitor content engagement and make informed decisions on content strategy, ensuring maximum visibility and relevance of all published materials.

Seamless Execution by Al Qanaah Resources

The technology delivery and integration are coordinated by Pn Surniati from Al Qanaah Resources Sdn Bhd. Her team has collaborated closely with Israk Solutions to ensure every component is aligned with MBIP’s operational and technical needs. Custom configurations were made to optimize both the hardware and software experience across MBIP’s infrastructure.

Staff Empowerment Through Training

To support the implementation, Israk Solutions will conduct comprehensive training for MBIP staff. Training modules include:
  • Smartboard operations and features
  • Content creation and scheduling via CDMS
  • Troubleshooting and system maintenance
This ensures that the council’s personnel are well-prepared to leverage the full potential of the new tools, maximizing return on investment and operational efficiency. Participants will also receive reference manuals and post-training support to reinforce learning outcomes and promote independent troubleshooting. Ongoing digital literacy improvements will also position staff to integrate new features as future updates are rolled out.

Installation Timeline and Payment Terms

To streamline the process, MBIP has agreed to a 100% payment upon delivery. The installation schedule, training sessions, and equipment handover will be planned in close coordination with the council to avoid service interruptions. Regular updates will be provided to ensure a transparent and efficient rollout.
