Smartboard AI Arvia SK Pos Brooke brings a 75-inch interactive smartboard to Sekolah Kebangsaan Pos Brooke in Gua Musang, Kelantan, made possible through MyIX (Malaysia Internet Exchange). Team Arvia installed the board to give teachers and students at this Orang Asli settlement school access to the same AI-powered teaching tools used in schools across Malaysia.

The Challenge
SK Pos Brooke serves an Orang Asli settlement school in Gua Musang, Kelantan, where teachers rely mainly on a conventional whiteboard for daily Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran (PdP). Explaining new vocabulary, diagrams or reference images meant either drawing them by hand or describing them verbally, which slowed down lessons and made some topics harder for students to visualise.
Student presentations faced a similar limitation. Without wireless sharing, students needed a cable or a shared laptop to show their work, which slowed down group presentations and left less time for the actual discussion.
Teacher meetings brought their own challenge. Given the school’s remote location in Gua Musang, hybrid meetings with colleagues or officers joining from elsewhere were harder to run clearly on a fixed, wide-angle camera where it was difficult to tell who was speaking.
SK Pos Brooke needed a single board that could support everyday teaching, make student presentations easier to run, and handle hybrid teacher meetings without the usual friction, all through MyIX’s support for the school.
Students at SK Pos Brooke also work across several languages and subjects, from Bahasa Malaysia and English to Pendidikan Islam and other language-based lessons, and handwritten notes in different scripts were not always easy to read clearly when copied onto a conventional whiteboard.
The Solution
Team Arvia installed a 75-inch Smartboard AI Arvia SK Pos Brooke, giving teachers and students a single interactive board built for everyday classroom use. From annotation to AI-assisted search, the board replaces several separate tools with one smooth, convenient screen suited to PdP.

Smooth Annotation for Everyday Teaching and Learning
Teachers can annotate directly on the Smartboard AI Arvia, writing, highlighting or marking up a lesson in real time with a smooth, responsive touch surface. Instead of reaching for markers and a conventional whiteboard, cikgu-cikgu at SK Pos Brooke can mark up notes, diagrams and corrections directly on screen during a lesson.

AI-Powered Search, OCR and Drag-and-Drop Learning Tools
Teachers can search Google directly within the Arvia board and drag and drop images onto the screen instantly, pulling up a reference photo or diagram the moment a lesson calls for it instead of switching to a separate device. The board’s AI can also help answer questions and direct students to relevant information on Google, all without leaving the lesson.
Smartboard AI Arvia also includes OCR support for Arabic, Korean, Japanese and other scripts, recognising handwriting and turning it into clearer, neater text on screen. This makes it easier for students to read and understand notes written in languages beyond Bahasa Malaysia and English, which is especially useful during lessons that touch on more than one script or language.
Rather than treating these as separate add-ons, the AI search, OCR and drag-and-drop tools all work from the same screen, so a teacher moves between them without switching devices or losing the flow of the lesson. For a single-board classroom like SK Pos Brooke’s, that continuity matters as much as any individual feature.
Wireless Screen Sharing for Student Presentations
Students presenting group work or a class project can share their screen wirelessly to the Smartboard AI Arvia from multiple devices, sending files, photos and videos instantly instead of passing around a cable. Teachers needing to share slides across more than one device during a lesson can do the same, keeping presentations moving without the usual setup delays.
AI Auto Tracking Camera for Hybrid Teacher Meetings
For teacher meetings, the Smartboard AI Arvia’s built-in AI auto tracking voice camera focuses automatically on whoever is speaking, which is especially useful for a school in a location like Gua Musang where hybrid meetings with colleagues or officers joining remotely are common. Participants on the other end can follow the discussion clearly instead of watching a static, wide shot of the room.
Why Smartboard AI Arvia SK Pos Brooke Matters
For MyIX (Malaysia Internet Exchange), supporting a school like SK Pos Brooke with an AI-powered smartboard means students and teachers in a remote Orang Asli settlement get access to the same classroom technology used in schools across Malaysia’s urban centres.
Rural and settlement schools often face the biggest gap in access to current classroom technology, which makes a deployment like this especially meaningful. A single, well-equipped smartboard can change how daily lessons are taught and how comfortably teachers run meetings with colleagues based elsewhere.
Connectivity-focused organisations like MyIX understand how much access depends on the right infrastructure and tools reaching the communities that need them most, and a modern classroom technology deployment at a settlement school like SK Pos Brooke reflects that same principle in practice.
This is the kind of project Arvia is proud to support, bringing practical AI-powered classroom tools to schools that might otherwise be left out of Malaysia’s broader digital education push. Schools or sponsors interested in a similar project can see more of Arvia’s completed projects across Malaysia.
Project Outcome
Teachers and students at SK Pos Brooke now have a single smartboard for annotation, AI-assisted search, wireless presentations and hybrid meetings, replacing a conventional whiteboard and several separate tools with one convenient screen.
Smartboard AI Arvia SK Pos Brooke shows how the right classroom technology, placed in the right school, can make an outsized difference, especially for a community that does not always have easy access to the latest tools.
