LZNK’s mission is to ensure efficient, transparent, and impactful distribution of zakat funds to the asnaf (eligible groups). As part of their digital transformation efforts, they sought to enhance public access to zakat-related services through modern, user-friendly self-service technology.
Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah Darul Aman (LZNK) is a prominent state government agency entrusted with the vital responsibility of managing the collection and distribution of zakat across the state of Kedah, Malaysia. Operating under Islamic principles, the agency ensures that zakat—an obligatory form of almsgiving in Islam—is collected in a transparent, ethical, and efficient manner from eligible contributors and fairly distributed to qualified recipients, known as asnaf.
LZNK’s vision is to elevate the socio-economic status of the asnaf community by utilizing zakat funds strategically to support welfare programs, development initiatives, and poverty eradication efforts. With the growing need to streamline their operations and serve a larger audience effectively, LZNK has embraced digital transformation as a key component of their service excellence strategy. The agency continues to explore and implement modern technologies to enhance its outreach and operational efficiency.
Project Background
As part of its strategic digitalization roadmap, LZNK identified the need to improve public access to zakat-related information and services at its physical locations. The primary objective was to offer a more modern, user-centric, and interactive experience for visitors—especially those seeking information, guidance, or services related to zakat contributions, applications, and eligibility.
To bring this vision to life, LZNK partnered with Arvia Solutions, a trusted provider of digital display and smart technology systems. Arvia was commissioned to supply and commission an advanced touchscreen kiosk system that would serve as a self-service digital terminal for public use. After an in-depth assessment of the operational environment and end-user needs, the FLR103 55-inch Floor Standing Touch Kiosk was selected as the ideal solution due to its high-performance features, modern design, and ease of use.
Scope of Work
The project scope covered the complete delivery, setup, and commissioning of one unit of the FLR103 55” vertical touchscreen kiosk. Arvia Solutions managed the project from end to end, ensuring that the implementation met all technical requirements and adhered to LZNK’s branding and service standards.
